Torcalvano Nobile di Montepulciano is pure Sangiovese locally called Prugnolo Gentile. Within this historical appellation, Sangiovese tells of a predominantly loose soil and rich in marine clays which results in a wine with an intense ruby colour and strong aromas particularly suitable for long aging.
