The Wine

The red of Montepulciano Torcalvano is the version of pure Sangiovese with a more contemporary character thanks to its marked qualities of youthfulness of the fruit and freshness typical of the grape. It goes perfectly with all traditional Tuscan dishes and beyond.

Tasting: Delicate, red flowers, and very sophisticated aromas with some spicy notes. On the palate it is balanced and elegant, with a fresh finishing
At the table: At our “Villa di Nozzole” we like to match it with “pappardelle” with ragout
First harvest: 1997
Shelf life: up to 5 years

The TorCalvano Estate

Montepulciano, located between the Chiana Valley and the Val d’Orcia, has been an area suited to the cultivation of quality Sangiovese for over 300 years. In 1685, Francesco Redi, poet, doctor and naturalist, declared in his dithyramb “Bacchus in Tuscany”: Montepulciano is the King of all wines
