The Wine

Made only from Sangiovese grapes, Morellino of Vigne a Porrona is an example of how this grape variety manages to find its right place in Tuscany by absorbing the identity of each area where it is grown. This historic appellation of Maremma gives us a wine with a youthful and fresh character that is distinguished by its vinosity, marked fruity notes and soft tannins.

Tasting: The 2020 vintage reveals vinous and cherry aromas with delicately ethereal nuances. The taste is balanced with a long, savoury and dry finish.
Pairing: Villa di Nozzole suggest to pair it with porcini mushroom and Tyrrhenian shrimp risotto
First vintage: 2008
Shelf life: up to 3-5 years
