A new project that combines tradition and innovation: a wide variety of wines in the 375 ml bottle size. 9 different labels to enjoy, alone or with friends, the pleasure of Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute wines, from the complete variety of BSTs Baby Super Tuscans to fresh white wines, up to Supertuscans and the most representative DOC labels.
An innovation that has its roots in history and which aims to radically change wine tasting, focusing on practicality and personalisation. The 375 ml bottle size allows diners to enjoy two large glasses, without risking that the bottle, once closed, may lose its freshness and pleasantness. With the half bottle, diners can choose to eat enjoying different wines depending on the course, or to differentiate the type of wine for each diner, according to personal tastes. A consumption idea perfectly in line with the needs of the time that also meets the requirements of restaurateurs. The introduction of the 375 ml bottle size, allows, in fact, to expand the offer of our wines and reduce the commitment to table service and therefore ensure greater safety. Everyone has their own wine, perfect to be enjoyed at home or in a restaurant and also suitable for an outdoor aperitif or on the beach.
Tenute Folonari have decided to use the Stelvin cap for young, fruity and fresh wines. This type of cap combines the safety of unchanged organoleptic properties with the simplicity of its use and is perfect for white wines such as Le Bruniche Chardonnay Toscana IGT, Campo al Mare Vermentino Bolgheri DOC Bolgheri DOC and Sauvignon Toscana IGT, which is part of Baby Super Tuscans, but also for red wines of the same offer: Sangiovese – Cabernet Sauvignon Toscana IGT, Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot Toscana IGT and Syrah – Merlot Toscana IGT. Cabreo Il Borgo Toscana IGT, Campo al Mare Bolgheri Rosso DOC and Nozzole Chianti Classico DOCG maintain, however, also in the 375 ml bottle size, the use of the cork stopper in full compliance with the type and regulations.
Half bottles for great wines and for those who choose Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari Tenute, but also for those who offer their own excellences, a guarantee of outstanding wines through the safety and comfort of a dedicated bottle.
The 375 ml wine bottle size has existed since the 1960s and was initially used only in the canteens of large industrial groups, when wine was considered a food supplement. After a period in which this bottle size has been re-evaluated with a view to moderate consumption and oriented towards quality production, its use has recently undergone a significant downsizing. In fact, many wine bars have developed, which have adopted the offer of consumption “by the glass” relegating the half bottle size to a secondary and marginal role with proposals not always oriented towards quality. Today, such a type of wine consumption becomes difficult and brings to light the safety and deterioration limits of great wines which, once opened, risk losing quality if drunk in the following days.
